How X9 Modes Work

The X9 has a clever PCB module which updates the points of reference for a vehicle's throttle mapping. Throttle lag is added by manufacturers for a number of reasons, including fuel economy. The HIKE IT X9 maintains the standard parameters of your vehicle while introducing a sharper throttle curve (or smoother when in 4x4 Eco mode), and reduces the "dead zone" in your car's accelerator pedal.

Economy Mode

Economy mode has nine settings that reduce the response from the pedal, improving fuel economy. With a dampened response, it can be particularly handy in situations such as driving off road, towing, and beach driving.

Cruise Mode

Cruise mode, with 9 settings levels, is a tuned down version of the popular sport/tow mode. It will give you more of a boost than your car's original setting, and is perfect for everyday driving that won't blow out your fuel bill and knock your socks off.

Sport/Tow Mode

Sport/Tow mode's nine settings levels provide a fun way to get around without the adrenalin boost of HIKE IT mode. It's perfect when towing anything and will adjust perfectly to the application at hand. After Auto IQ Mode, Sport/Tow mode is the most favored.

HIKE IT Mode

HIKE IT mode is not for the "Sunday driver." The first of HIKE IT Mode's nine settings is classified as intense, while settings seven through nine are like "launch mode." Touching the Mode button while in any mode will activate Over-Take Mode, which instantly puts the X9 into HIKE IT Mode setting nine.

Other Modes

In addition to its four main modes, the HIKE IT X9 includes Automatic, Overtake, and Anti-Theft Modes as well as Original Mode, which turns off the HIKE IT X9.

Auto IQ Mode

Intelligently switches between all modes, taking into account your transmission.

Overtake Mode

If no setting has been changed for 5 seconds, just push the MODE button and jump straight into HIKE IT 9.

Anti-Theft Mode

Entering Anti-Theft Mode will lock the car's throttle and will not accelerate at idle until unlocked.

The X9 has individual setting based on you car's transmission to tune the signal further while maintaining the original feel of an Auto or Manual Transmission.

Built into the face of the HIKE IT X9 is a clever Ambient Light Sensor which will adjust the brightness of the blue display light so you can see the settings perfectly in day light and you won't be blinded at night time.
